25 Nov 2009 - Asia's Largest Green Roof At Universal Studios Singapore

The 49 hectare Resorts World at Sentosa housing Southeast Asia’s first and only Universal Studios theme park, the world’s largest oceanarium, six unique hotels including Hard Rock Hotel, as well as a casino, is set to open its doors to the world in early 2010.

The green roofs in the Park involve planting on 2 types of roof designs: a regular low-slope reinforced concrete flat roof and a sloped Corus Kalzip profiled metal roof. Totalling about 35,000 sq m (about 370,000 sq ft) the Park’s green roof will be Asia’s largest.

Elmich Green Roof was chosen as the wide structural spans of the immense roofs and fast track construction of the Park demanded that the system be light and easy to install.
